Commercial Campaigns for Agencies

  • Choose Breakfast Campaign - Saatchi and Saatchi NY, created characters and logos for General Mills cereal boxes and TV spots. 

  • Packaging design and illustrations - Blue Moon Brewing Company, Miller Coors, Moslon, E&J Gallo, illustrated packaging, labels, and sales collateral. Including print, web, and TV spots.

  • Subway (the sandwiches) Created cute characters and illustrations for special advertising promotions. Print and web. Vector art.

Character Development

  • Women’s Sports Foundation - created a group of ethnically diverse characters for a national campaign encouraging girls well being, and sports participation.

  • TV Pilot characters, Hockey Game characters - created characters according to specific client descriptions. Character turnarounds and hero poses.

  • Jolly Green Giant - Rebrand and character development with Saatchi and Saatchi, NY. Created concept illustrations to help team visualize the Giant and the Green Valley. Shot model reference photography for the 3D animators at Calabash.

  • Rooftop Miniature Golf Course Concept art for urban development project on top of a luxury building by the beach. San Diego, CA.

  • 5 story Godzilla - fiery mural for luxury condos in San Diego. Created a decorative polygon “Godzilla” matching interior designers color scheme. Mural is 5 stories tall, and viewable through the glass walls from courtyard. San Diego, California. 

  • Bowling Alley Mural - Surreal desert landscape featuring flying bowling pins, motorcycles, and cactus. Delivered artwork as Vector, for super hi res printed output. Over 75 feet wide x 16 feet tall. This is in Arizona somewhere.

  • Belmont Park Strong Man Game - Illustrated carnival game, and characters for interactive “selfie stations”. Mission Beach, California 

  • Tuna Fishing Sculpture  - Designed 100 foot, stainless steel sculpture for Ariel Building in San Diego. 100 pencil sketches. Final art in Adobe Illustrator. Sculpture spans 1 city block facing the San Diego Bay. Manufactured from stainless steel and riveted panels.

  • Restaurant Murals - illustrated mural walls for the best Sushi restaurants in Southern California - Japanese style cartoon Sushi characters fighting aliens, decorative whales and octopus tentacles, for use throughout establishment, menus, collateral. San Diego, California

Workshops & Live Events

  • Oceanside Museum Fundraiser - Art Show and Instructor lead workshop on creating Dias Dos Los Muertos masks from cardboard and paint. Made a behind the scenes video, too.

  • Life Drawing Series - Instructed a series of 8 week figure drawing workshops, teaching the artists and animators how to draw the live human figureSony, DayBreak Studios. (portfolio)

  • Strathmore Artist Papers - live drawing demonstration to razzle-dazzle buyers with beautiful mixed media artwork on their newest paper. Scripted, shot, edit  “The Heavyweight” a product demonstration video in support of the product launch.

  • Blue Moon Brewing Company - Live art performance onstage at a beer convention recreating artwork from my label designs, using pen and ink. Interacted with audience.

  • Southwestern University - Featured artist and speaker, presentation to 300 art department students and faculty about professional practices , requirements of freelance artists, and the art development process.

  • Drawsome! Sketchbook Sessions San Diego - group of professional artists, and art students meet once a week to draw together and interact. Awarded Certificate of Appreciation from California Senate for our Art Show highlighting artists in the underserved community of Chula Vista, California.

  • The Britney Henry Project - Community give back project - created media, press kit, videos, and social presence, blog in support of Olympic Hopeful athlete. Assembled team of photographers/marketers resulting in sponsorship deals, interviews, including a short promotional film by GoPro. (Intro)  (Track Meet)  (American Woman)

  • Life Drawing - I participate in many local San Diego Life Drawing groups, where I would exercise my passion for figure drawing, often creating 20 or more mixed media pieces per session. Xupuy offered to publish an art book featuring the drawings, so I designed the book and organized an Art Show/ Book Signing at the SDAI Museum in Balboa Park. (Live Session)

  • Marks Vol. 1 - Art Book - Xupuy - Illustrated figurative and editorial artwork traditionally and digitally. Photographed artwork creating hi res files. Designed the spreads in Photoshop. Designed/prepress the 48 page book, using inDesign. Delivered as PDF. 

Fashion Graphics Textile Design

  • Art Director, organized and inspired a team of 6 in house designers, 12 freelance designers. Created screen print designs for boys/girls activewear and sleepwear. Strategized with head of sales to recognize trends, client demands. Maintained relationships with 120 clients in New York/ Los Angeles/London Fashion Industry.
